Burlap Halloween Wreath

Hey all! Hope you guys had a great weekend...
We were busy with our first soccer game of the season on Saturday morning, and still having some family in from out of town, but I did manage to finish up a little somethin' somethin' for Halloween!

How I did it:

I used a piece of foam insulation tubing from the plumbing section of Lowe's for the wreath form.
Note: Get the skinny one and you can cut in in half for 2 wreath forms. The tube is about $.96.

I cut a strip of green burlap and wrapped it around the tubing per this tutorial from

I discovered today that my Cricut will cut the stiff felt sheets if I put it on max pressure. Score!
I found the orange glittery rick-rack and the wired purple, orange, and black twisted ribbon at a fabric outlet here in town. This place is great, and I'll do a feature on it soon!
I cut a strip of black burlap and tied a ribbon with Martha's method.

And finally, used yet another fabulous tutorial from Miss Lovie to create the fabric flower.

I will admit, I kinda butchered that tutorial, but since it's Halloween and things can be a little messy and lopsided and it only adds to the "charm" I went with it! :)

And, the finished product... Ta da!

Don't miss some of my other great Halloween stuff, even if it is from last year!

Great wreath. I so need one for my door-time to replace the Easter one I have hanging still (yes, it is true!). I love the idea for the form-so smart!
