7 Things About Me!

Today, I received a blogging award, the Versatile Blogger, from Marcie at  The Simple Things. Check out her fantastic blog.

Seven things about me:

1. I love my family, and my life. I have a wonderful husband that makes me feel like a princess, motivates me, challenges me, and builds me up when I'm down. I also have two amazing little boys who are both the light of my life and make me a little crazy all at the same time. I don't know what I'd do without them. My two boxers make me laugh every time they greet me with thier wiggly boxer butts!

2. I am a volunteer at heart. I don't know what it is, but the satisfaction I get from being a VBS teacher, or working with others at church to make a meal is the ultimate reward.

3. I wish I had more stick-to-it-ness. I'll get really motivated to start a workout program and then not go the gym for three weeks. I have tons of "things" around the house that I have saved for that project I want to try but haven't gotten around to.  So far, I've stuck to the blog, let's hope I pull through!

4. A hot cup of tea, a few magazines or some chick-lit and a comfy chair could keep me happy for hours. I can't remember the last time I had any of those things at the same time- but the craziness that is my life more than makes up for it.

5. Interior Design is my passion, my life's work, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I am so fortunate to have gone to college and earned my BFA in Interior Design, and even more fortunate that I work in my field and love it! I sometimes feel like there are so many people out there in jobs they don't really like, but feel stuck. I know everyday that I'm a lucky girl.

6. My friends in High School called me Martha Stewart. No lie.

7. My favorite time of the year is fall. I love Halloween, football games, and bonfires. And marching bands. I don't know why really, because I was in the band in high school and I really didn't think it was all that great. A drumline cadence sends chills through my entire body. I love it.
