Halloween Mantle and Giveaway!

BOO! I always have a blast with Halloween, and this year has been no exception!

Here is the China hutch that I use as a "mantle" display area.

Meet Mr. Creepy... a friend found him at an antique store a few years back in a very old frame that she bought with hopes of making it into a mirror. Her husband loves him, she thinks he's super creepy. I thought he was perfect for my Halloween Mantle! he he he!

The crows are Dollar Tree finds from last year, and the bird cage and crackle glass ornament a.k.a. egg in this vignette are courtesy of the Ft.Benning Thrift Shop.

I added some spanish moss and put the cage on a silver charger. The skeleton is leftover decorations from years past, and the silver plate in the background was a yard sale find. I painted the center with chalkboard paint, and left its patina to add to the creepy look!

 

Now, for a little peek at my kitchen table...

The centerpiece is a metal pedestal in oil rubbed bronze I picked up at yet another yard sale!

I made some book page "grass" ? what would you call that? and put a sparkly little punkin I picked up after the season was over last year. The placemats were also an after-season find last year from Tuesday Morning. I love shopping clearance! :)
